Submissions for FirstDraft! season 2012 are now closed.
Any playwright who wishes to submit their new work for consideration is encouraged to check back on this site during the month of August, 2012, when the call for new works will again go out for Driftwood's 2012-2013 season.

Two readings are scheduled: Feb. 19 and June 24.
All readings will be held on Sunday evenings at the Wade James Theatre in Edmonds at 7 PM
First Draft! - take part in the creative process that goes into completing an original work. Actors dramatize the work "readers-theatre" style, giving the author a glimpse of what works and what doesn't. After the reading, a moderated Q&A session with the dramatist and audience continues to explore the work. We hope you join us as we bring another exciting live arts experience to the Edmonds community
Submission guidelines: Original,unproduced, unstaged full-length plays. No musicals, shorts or one-acts (unless two one-acts are presented as part of a 'companion piece' series). Playwrights are required to be present the evening of the reading. Submit: 1) a summary of the work, 2) an electronic version of the work in either '.pages' or '.doc', 3) a history of the work's workshops, previous readings and currently scheduled readings to: firstdraft@driftwoodplayers.com.
