Q: Are your murder mysteries appropriate for under-age children and /or church groups?
A: None of our plays feature nudity or extensive profanity. We'll be happy to discuss specifics with you; just call.

*We do have access to a children's mystery called The Special Ones, a script that is specifically designed for kids aged 8 to 12. Call us for more information.

Q: Can I choose a theme or topic that is not currently in production?
A: Yes, absolutely! Just give us a call and we'll discuss what is available and what we can and cannot do for you. Generally make sure you discuss your plans for our performance at your event at least 12 weeks in advance.

Q: If I want to book your group, how much lead time do I need to give you?
A: It depends on what else we have going on, but generally 3-4 weeks in advance for an in-production play would be nice. If you don't have that much time, call and we'll see what we can do.

Q: Are you a professional group?
A: If you mean do we make a living with this, no, we don't. If you mean do we know what we're doing, yes we do. Most of our cast and crew members have an extensive background and lots of experience on the stage, on television or in film. We have more than 100 years of performing under our collective belts. Some of our team members have been professional actors, but now we all have regular business careers. Look at Meet the Players to get a glimpse of what some of the more recent projects our cast and crew have been involved with.

Q: How are your plays suitable for corporate use?
A: 1. As an evening's entertainment, part of a dinner theater, or as a regular "on-stage" experience.
2. As a leadership, problem solving or team building exercise. Please keep in mind that although we have several scripts and scenarios available which are explicitly written for this purpose, Play With Your Food cast and crew members are NOT trainers, and you will need a trainer/staff member to facilitate the exercise(s).

Q: How much money can I make for my organization if I book you as part of a Fundraiser?
A: It really depends. Are you having this event catered or is it self-cooked? Spaghetti dinner or steak and lobster? Are you renting a hall or ballroom or using the free basement meeting room? Dinner theater fundraising tickets can be as low as $25 and as high as $350 or even higher, depending on the cause you're supporting, the audience, and food among other factors. We can help you a great deal with cost estimates, additional sources of revenue etc. Just give us a call, after all, we want your event to be successful so you will book us again next year! Read also below about discounts.

Q: Do you give any discounts?
A: Yes, we do. If your organization is an IRS approved public non-profit and/or you're raising money for a cause, we will donate part of our fee to your cause. Call for more details.

Q: What is a good size audience for a Dinner Theater Event?
A: We perform best for a group ranging from 20 to 200, but the shape of your venue is a factor. Give us a call for more in-depth information.

Q: Are your prices all-inclusive?
A: Our prices include everything we will need: actors' pay, our costumes, props, sound, music, makeup, etc. If we are performing as part of a dinner event, we would like you to feed our cast and crew beforehand. Please also see below our policy on tipping.

Q: Should we tip you?
A: Just like a restaurant, if you or your guests enjoyed the experience, we graciously accept any gratuity. But we will not ask you or your guests for tips at the end of the performance.

Q: You have costumes. Should our guests come in costume?
A: It's entirely up to you. If you are planning to do that, we can prepare some "best dressed" and/or "worse dressed" award certificates.

Q: What's for dinner?
A: Our performances are often part of a dinner, but we don't do the catering, cooking or serving. Play With Your Food performs at your chosen restaurant, catering hall, conference center, banquet room, church or other venue. It is your choice whether to serve dinner, wine and cheese or anything else…you get to pick the menu.

Q: I own a restaurant. Will dinner theater be good for my business?
A: Many restaurant owners have discovered that hosting a dinner theater show for a few shows one weekend per month can greatly increase the amount of guest that come for dinner, as well as create a loyal group of regulars.

1. Increase advertising (you can do a mass mailing, or we can do one for you)
2. Increase visibility (something new)

And you don't have to commit to an extended run. Why not try us once or twice and see how you like it? Or perhaps consider a Murder Mystery Lunch on Sunday?

Q: I want to book you. You answered most, but not yet all my questions. How can I reach you?
A: Call The Driftwood Players at 425-774-9600 or email office@driftwoodplayers.com.
