The Driftwood Players present Missoula Children’s Theatre's original adaptation of the classic fairy tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Snow White finds herself in peril when her step-mother’s Magic Mirror confesses that the princess is fairer than she! Aided by her Henchmen and band of evil bats, the Queen plots to get rid of Snow White. The fair princess escapes from the Queen with help from Witless the Woodsman, and finding refuge with Seven Dwarfs. The Queen learns of her whereabouts and attempts to poison her, but the evil plans are thwarted when the Forest Friends, King Backwards, the Seven Dwarfs and the Prince come to Snow White’s rescue. Adapted for the stage by D.D. Brooke.

It’s an anniversary of murder… or is it? When Alex, a heartbroken playwright, believes his actress fiancée’s suicide was not self inflicted he wants to bring the killer to justice. Gathering a “cast and crew” of suspects he recreates what he thinks happened on that fateful night in an attempt to find out what really happened. Set in an old Broadway theatre, you’ll not only have the thrill of “whodunit”, but catch a glimpse of what goes on after the audience goes home! Loved so much in 1987/88, we brought it back for OUR Anniversary.

November 21-December 21, 2008
Book by Joseph Stein, Lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, Music by Jerry Bock
A classic story of tradition, love and family previously seen on our stage in our first decade, and again in 1991/92, Fiddler takes place in a Russian Jewish Village in 1905. The way of life for a poor milkman, Tevye, is threatened when his daughters wish to marry men not chosen by a matchmaker, thus breaking tradition. The stability of his life and that of the village is threatened by the girls, the terrible ethnic violence against the Jews at the time, and political revolution in Russia. Winner of 9 Tonys and 3 Academy awards, this musical is a fantastic way to treat those you love to something a little different this holiday season!

February 13-March 1, 2009
By Thornton Wilder
It’s Thornton Wilder’s beautiful dramatization of the cycle of life with a folksy, storytelling stage manager as our guide. The drama in a small town focuses on Emily Webb, a hard-working serious student and George Gibbs, an up-and-coming baseball star. As the two grow up together they fall in love and marry, but shortly thereafter, they face tragedy, and Emily comes to realize how precious life is. "Way down deep, there is something that's eternal about every human being," the Stage Manager waxes about how ordinary life connects with eternity. Driftwood presents Our Town for the first time!

After a 10-year hiatus from 1991-2001, the pair returned to performing, and communities across the country are discovering and remembering the uplifting, heartwarming feelings that a night with Reilly & Maloney will provide.
